#1. Review Michigan PostgreSQL for Everybody Specialization on Coursera
You won't need to spend time learning this course if you already know how Google works, how to index, and how json is included as a data type.
Nowadays, new technologies are born extremely quickly. If you are a software engineer, it is extremely necessary to learn about new technologies, update your knowledge and apply it to your products.
However, in order not to be out of breath in the technology race, in reality, we may not be the ones to create anything interesting, and most of our time can only be spent watching YouTube tutorials and re-doing them. It's difficult to understand those silly things, the more we have to know deeply and firmly about what's going on inside those silly things.
I was trying to find a course where I could interact more, ask questions, and do more exercises, and maybe even have a beauty certificate for LinkedIn. And I tried the Postgres course on Coursera. Finally, I'm sitting here reviewing that course.
The course may be extremely basic for those who already have a solid CS foundation, but it will also be able to help you understand a problem more deeply.
In this course you will learn about indexes, I think you will need to refer to some more articles about blocks, and how to store data on the hard drive. index types, and how data structure types are used in the index.
Then we will learn about reversed index, which helps us search for words, we will understand how to go step by step to convert a sentence into words, and how to search by words, as well as the functions Postgres supports that directly, clearly for those who just want to peel the cake and eat it.
Next is JSON, how JSON is included in Postgres, and improvements.
Another important part is about SQL and NoSQL. Why is the term NoSQL less and less used today, and the boundaries between SQL and NoSQL are also blurred?
Finally, there is elastic search, a version of Google but open source.
This is my summary, you can email or inbox me to get this file.
